Windsock
History
Centuries ago, windsocks were invented by
the Japanese. They fly them on Boys Day to celebrate a
family's male offspring.
One windsock per son -
blowing in the wind from the top of a bamboo pole.
Their shape is that of a fish - a carp - embossed with
the family crest.
